The Wheels Project Celebrating 40 years with a Royal visit
Staff and students at the Wheels Project were delighted to receive His Royal Highness, the Duke of Kent KG as we celebrated our 40th year of the project. His Royal Highness met staff, Trustees, students, referral agents, recipients of our Community Vehicle Programme before unveiling a plaque commemorating his visit. Managing Director David Glossop and Wheels Project Trustee Rachael Wheatley escorted His Royal Highness, Lord-Lieutenant Mrs Peaches Golding OBE, High Sheriff of Bristol Charles Wyld and Lord Mayor of Bristol Jos Clarke around the premises where they met and chatted to the students hard at work. He was also introduced to representatives of all the other agencies and organisations who have supported the project over many years.
Thank you David for inviting our students along to an amazing event, they all loved it. I look forward to continue working in partnership with you. Julie Milkins, Merchants Academy
Brilliant day…you should be rightly proud of all that you and the organisation has achieved! Amy Kington, CEO, Community of Purpose
