British Indoor Karting Championship (https://bikc.co.uk/)
The BIKC is a national competition and has 5 groups of competitors:-
8-11yr olds
12-15yr olds
16 plus lightweight
16 plus middleweight
16 plus heavyweight
The competition is held over 3 rounds all of which are knockouts before the final round.
Pre Qualifying – Local (44 localities) – TeamSport, Avonmouth – Best 20 averaged times for each category (normally over 100 entrants for each cat locally).
Round 1 – Local Heats – TeamSport, Avonmouth – Grid start, 2 x races, first past the post, points for finishing place, top 6-8 drivers progress to Round 2.
Round 2 – Regional Heats – TeamSport, Reading (tbc) – Grid start, 2 x races, first past the post, points for finishing place, top 6-8 drivers progress to Final.
Final – National – TeamSport, Warrington – Grid start, 2 x races, first past the post, points for finishing place, winners recording highest score.
Note, all participation in BIKC is done out of school time with all but the FINAL held mid week. Training is done during school time.
FINAL probably held over a weekend due to travelling involved.

Our aim is:-
To prepare individual students for participation in the British Indoor Karting Championship (https://bikc.co.uk) which can be held in multiple terms between September and June during each academic year. Students intending to compete in the BIKC must attend our training programme in Term 6 in order to be able to participate in the competition which starts in September of the same year.

A student’s behaviour should be causing concern to group leaders and exhibit at least three of the following factors:
• Aged between 14 – 18
• Anti-social behaviour
• Poor educational record
• Truanting
• Exclusion from school
• Criminal record
