Churchill Academy Team through to Regional Final of BSKC!

Our teams took part in the latest round of the British Schools Karting Championship at TeamSport in Avonmouth on 21 February.  Our team of 3 students from Churchill Academy has qualified for the Regional Final to be held at Thruxton Kart Centre on Sunday 21 April - fantastic!  Commiserations to the team of BEC students who, despite driving well, came 4th.  All the drivers showed tremendous skill on the race track.

The preparatory courses for this championship were funded by BBC Children in Need (Wheels' BSKC Prep Programme.)

The BSKC is a nationwide team-based karting championship, launched in 2006, which is open to any school or college with students aged 13 to 18.  Students do not need any previous karting experience or any special equipment to participate.

Mark Turner, Championship Manager at the BSKC said:  "We would like to thank all the young drivers who completed in this year's championship and extend our congratulations to the Churchill Academy team on its success."
