CSV Older People's Gardening Project and Wheels

Yet another visit to Wheels by one of our 'community vehicle' recipient organisations this term!  This time from Joe and Nick of CSV ( who talked enthusiastically to our group from Brislington Enterprise College (BEC) about the work their volunteers and trainees do for the Older People's Gardening Project.  They explained that they provide a garden makeover and maintenance service to older residents in the Hartcliffe and Withywood areas of South Bristol and they needed a vehicle which would be suitable for transporting garden equipment such as a lawn mower, strimmer and hand tools.

The  Merecedes Vito van, which had been donated to The Wheels Project by Avon and Somerset Constabulary and worked on by the group, is ideal.

This Community Vehicle Programme for the BEC group had been funded by a grant from the Henry Smith Charity.
