Richard Humphrey's secondment from John Lewis

We are delighted to announce that Richard Humphrey joined The Wheels Project in December on a five month secondment from John Lewis as part of their Golden Jubilee Trust.

Richard's brief as 'Business Development Officer' is to:

  • identify, develop and secure links with the private sector.
  • set up employment and training opportunities for Wheels' learners.
  • manage the marketing of The Wheels Project.

Richard has already made a fab start - he's:

  • already a familiar sight in the workshop in his overalls and safety boots!
  • held one to one discussions with learners about their employment/training needs.
  • set up meetings with outside agencies.
  • currently developing The Wheels Project on Facebook and Twitter.
  • organising an Open Day for schools on Monday 26 March at 4 pm to raise the Project's profile.
  • most importantly - already 'one of the team'!

Welcome Richard.
